Performing with "Nude" Women in Calendar Girls at Allen Contemporary Theatre
Performing in another play in North Texas, this one was a little different. I had a small role, but some of the women in the production had an interesting challenge: Appear nude, without being nude. How do you handle such things in theatre? Let's talk to the director and one of the actors to find out!
Special thanks to Allen Contemporary Theatre, Kathleen Vaught, and Molly Bower for letting me film all this and put it together.
I was definitely inspired to do this video in something approximating @TomScottGo , so you're not crazy if it reminds you of that. Cheers everyone!

Behind the Scenes as a Penguin at Prestonwood's Gift of Christmas
Переглядів 1095 місяців тому
The whole Act 1 of GOC was updated this year, and I was selected to be a penguin, along with 5 other volunteers. It was a wild ride as we had to learn a dance, our cues to enter and exit, as well as the usual costume shenanigans. All the stuff you'd expect at a church Christmas program, right? Maybe just a Texas Megachurch Christmas program.

You are taking the insults well lol. Honestly i want to do this but am afraid of getting an incel jaw so thinking of throwing in an apple a day or chewing gum. Also probablh make my own shake because soylent has for whatever reason caused some to get kidney stones, which sounds very scary. Also studies on longevity show vegans have a lower life expectancy than vegans and health conscious non vegans
I only have these kind of shakes for lunch, I eat plenty of food that requires chewing. So far no kidney stones, but they don't run in my family, and I drink a fair amount of water too. I am certainly not vegan, but this is part of being health conscious and trying to make sure I get some vitamins that other food might be low in. I'm not a health influencer, obviously, just sharing my story.
Butterfly wall Deck 3
I just got back and I loved this. It’s $14 per person now. Still no birds in that area. You can’t hold the birds anymore
Thanks for the updates! I cover some of the recent changes in my video I linked in the pinned comment.
totally agree about the Royal Caribbean's app (and the website).....total disaster, but the other things mentioned though.........don't bother me at all. Voyager Class is great!
Glad you enjoy it, it's a great sized ship!
What month was this taken? Thanks for your video,
This was in September 2023!
We just went on quantum of the sea to Alaska only to find out that the north star attraction had been broken for a year. We were never told when we booked the reservations that wasn’t working. One of the main attractions and they sold us the package telling us. It was working only to find out it doesn’t.? After complaining to customer service they did not care. Make sure that the attractions are working and especially the Northstar..
I had no idea! That definitely seems like something they should mention in several places! I certainly went on the cruise expecting to be able to go on the North Star (if I could secure a free spot), so making it clear that it would never be open is crucial! Thank you for sharing, hopefully people see this and eventually someone responds when it reopens!
The link to the Fahren LED Bulb didn't work for me. Amazon says "sorry we coulnd't find the page"
Thanks for letting me know! I've updated the link to the new listing, it looks like they may be even brighter than the ones I have!
What's the point on putting some rough acrylic plate in front of a telescope? I mean, we spend lots of money to get nice pictures, no deformations... all ruined by some bad acrylic stuff :D
It's an easy way to attach the solar filter! I'd love to see a comparison of image quality with and without the plate, do you have a video showing that?
Better than separating the beds on an inside cabin. We push them together and push everything to the right... and place both end tables on the left, which gives you the best of both worlds.
That's an interesting idea I haven't heard of before, I'll have to try it in my next inside room!
It’s having a near $200m refit in March 25.
I'm guessing it's mostly the upgrades it was supposed to get in 2020, but I hope there are a few new surprises!
GREAT IDEA IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A WAY TO KEEP MY SOLAR LIGHTS STURDY AND STRAIGHT I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT WORKED OUT THANKS L.G.
They are still holding up great, even all these years later!
Question: if you were looking to prepay for a group of 8+ ppl, all-inclusive, which car would you pick? I fear the caboose had too few windows to really enjoy the full experience??
The views are not amazing, so I think the experience of being in the caboose might be a bigger benefit than having larger windows. If you really don't want it, I like the dome car we had, since it put you up a little higher and gave better views.
@@LukeofAllTrades. I look at airplanes all day, so subjectively I find piney woods and the occasional pasture calming. Thanks for responding! Your insight is a big help!
@@teamscoach Sounds like you'll love the views then! The best views I've ever seen from a train were from the one in Alaska, look for that one on my channel too!
@@LukeofAllTrades. did the land sea tour in 2015. And I completely agree best views ever!

What an interesting side effect!
Thank you!! I got my t-ring and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working!! Turns out you need a t-adaptor too… who knew?! You! Thanks 😃
Glad I could help! It took me a long time to figure out all the terms, so I'm happy to share the knowledge!
Great video I will just keep it as a dream for me to go on a cruise 🛳
Inside rooms on Alaskan cruises are a lot cheaper that you might think, especially last minute!
@@LukeofAllTrades. thx u I will keep that in mind 👍
where did the years go..
They fly by! I had Soylent for years more after this.
Respect
Hi Luke, thanks for sharing video. While waiting for the new transformer to arrive, did you use your stove without the part?
Yes! I just disconnected that part and used the rest of the burners.
@@LukeofAllTrades.That's awesome to hear. Today, My stove's "keep warm center" just decided to stay on even though I turned it off. I unplugged and plugged it back in a few times but it didn't help. Im so glad to find your video. Thanks again :) have a wonderful night.
@@ahhdu147 Yup, it's a weird problem, that why I made a video, since I figured it was going to happen to other people too.
Hahaha she aint interested in no dang whisper dish!!!! She did EXACTLY what my wife would do!!!

I am not able to focus with my Nikon D5300, i have GSO 8 inch telescope

You're welcome!
The Soylent has completely taken over. His T levels are almost non existent.
I think they were pretty low before!
Thanks
How come we see the same sun spots always in the same place when the earth is supposedly rotating around the sun in the so-called solar system????
I haven't taken enough pictures to track their movement (or lack thereof), this seems like a good experiment to do!
@@LukeofAllTrades. well the reason I ask is that, I’m a flat earther, we believe in a totally different cosmos system. We believe that this earth is covered by a glass firmament and is stationary and the sun and moon are only 3000 miles away and are the same size, 30 miles in diameter and that they are not spheres. So it would be interesting, your test results.
@@jogmas12 Good luck in your journey, that's quite the theory to work with! I found someone else who imaged the sun with a different telescope, and they see different spots than I saw. ua-cam.com/video/YLA3Z1kzVCs/v-deo.html
Where and when do you eat?
I haven't been to Roatan enough to have good local spots to recommend. There are a few spots near the port though. We usually just eat on the ship since it's a quick stop.
Ok thanks!
Yea! We are settling sail on this Friday. We are really looking forward to this trip! Thanks for sharing! 😊
Have fun, it's a great ship!
God nobody likes you
Looking forward to embarkation day on this ship. Thank you for the tips!
Have fun! It's a great ship, made even better if you remember these tips!
This guy is hilarious - he can't be serious, this is like an SNL skit
You get the joke better than most!
Do you have to use the app for Astro? I live in Canada, the app is unavailable, although it can be obtained, how useful is Astro without the app? Is it absolutely needed for set up?
I don't remember if it's absolutely required for setup, a lot of it is done through Astro's screen. But without the app you miss out on being able to edit your map, use the Live View, and you wouldn't be able to turn off patrol mode. So yes, the app is pretty critical.
Thanks! Also solved my issue. Went into a dealership and they quoted $1450 to replace and reprogram the issue. The $5 fuse puller was a much better deal
Exactly!
well, apart from that Misses Lincoln, did you enjoy the play?
It was mind blowing!
How much is it to ride for adult and kid?

Thanks a lot
Oh my fauci!11! I love soy lent now
tsmt soylent makes me feel SOOOO valid
I'm currently trying to do this with two small filters from one of those cardboard glasses they sell. In your opinion, would this be sufficiently safe as long as I overlap the two pieces? The entire hole is covered from the outside. They overlap so you cannot see anything while looking straight on, but it's not "airtight" as if it was one sheet of filter. I assume light isn't going to come in from 85 degrees sideways, but I would like to hear your thoughts before I attempt anything
If it was me, I would just use one side of the glasses and place the filter in the middle of the hole, with the remainder covered by cardboard. Imagine a piece of cardboard with a hole in it, then tape the glasses to cover that hole, with the filter being the only thing allowing light through. The shape of the hole shouldn't make much difference for casual viewing. Please be careful!
@@LukeofAllTrades. Thank you for the advice!
Should you cut bigger peice to cover whole lens
That's definitely an option. I just thought it was easier to tape a small piece to the inside of the cover. And the smaller piece is a little cheaper. ;)
Which eyepiece did you use?
I usually use the 25mm because the 10mm is really narrow and I can't see the whole sun at once.
You just made my day. I just ordered it for my Celestron Powerseeker 127EQ and will arrive tomorrow, one day before the eclipse. Thanks so much!
We're down to the wire, good luck!
My XL still has good capacitors surprisingly. It was made on 09/21/2008.
That's pretty lucky. We only recently learned that our house has until recently had really dirty power (lots of voltage variability), so that may have worn them out faster than normal.
It also had Lifetime service. I only had mine for a month. I collect TiVos.
Would a photo camera lense solar filter work?
Yes, as long as it's over the end of the telescope, and you don't just put it over the eyepiece. I think the sun light would be too focused and burn through the filter if it was just over the eyepiece.
Can you use it for a refractor and can i use it without the cover for the telescope because my telescope does not have it .
Absolutely! You'll probably just need a bigger sheet of filter material to cover it, but it should work just fine!
@@LukeofAllTrades. Thanks !.
There are some key updates you should know about, I made a version of this video for 2024 here: ua-cam.com/video/GpvW3GOl99Y/v-deo.html
See? Those cops, daren't cross even you!
They were certainly very friendly!
Is there a cost for the little bowl of seed that you take in?
There was not, but they no longer provide that. I have updated this video with new information on my new cruise channel, check that video out here: ua-cam.com/video/GpvW3GOl99Y/v-deo.html
Yes, sorry, the aligning scope on the telescope.
if it doesn't focus through the viewfinder, you may need to align your mirrors. I have a video about how to do that here: ua-cam.com/video/-Y5WCO4afYo/v-deo.html
I have created my filter and looks great through the aligning scope but can not get crisp focus in viewfinder. Any suggestions?
I'm a little unclear of the ask. Do you mean the viewfinder on a camera you have attached, or the optic that you're looking through? I'm not sure what you mean by "aligning scope" either, do you mean the little spotting scope that you use to get the telescope roughly lined up, or maybe a alignment eyepiece for focusing your telescope?
Thanks for the info!
Absolutely!
Does it matter if telescope primary mirror 650mm ?
I can't think of any issue with it. Just make sure your filter is large enough to cover the open end of your telescope!
I live in MA. and we have this issue in our house. How can I finance this repair?
Our foundation repair company offered some financing options, or you might get a Home Equity Line of Credit from your mortgage company. Other than that, you might be able to get a loan through your bank. Good luck!
